Success Skills helps a diverse group of students to become more qualified in their job pursuits by providing engaging and experiential learning sessions in work-readiness and basic soft skills. This suits many volunteers, however, good communication skills are encouraged here. JA Job Shadow Day

Main Focus Work Readiness

Target Grades 10 - 12 + University

Would you rather tell students about the workplace or show them? This program introduces students to careers through one-day pretend opportunities for an authentic real-world experience. Volunteers are encouraged to role-play as much as possible and encourage their colleagues to mentor on-site as well. To learn more about this program, please click here.

Community Citizenship

Main Focus Entrepreneurship & Financial Literacy

Sessions 2 preparatory sessions + 1 implementation day
Target Grade 9 - University Year 1

After analyzing the traits of effective positive citizenship, the class implements a project in which students roll up their sleeves and try their hand at community service, thus making them responsible and conscientious individuals. With the volunteer, they plan and work in teams to meet their goodwill objective. This year's focus will be on the environment and road safety.

Entrepreneurship Masterclass

This exciting one-day workshop introduces students to the concept of self-employment and entrepreneurship. It gives them the opportunity to meet an entrepreneur and engage in exciting activities with volunteers that are meant to expand their horizons and direct their thinking towards the professional future in a fun way.

JA Be Entrepreneurial

JA Be Entrepreneurial, a new high school program, focuses on challenging students, through interactive classroom activities, to start their own entrepreneurial venture while still in high school. JA Be Entrepreneurial provides useful, practical content to assist students to transition into becoming productive, contributing members of society.

Innovation Day Camp

This exciting one-day workshop challenges students to find the most innovative solution to a business challenge using critical thinking, teamwork, communication and leadership skills. It gives them the opportunity to engage in exciting brainteasers and activities with a corporate mentor, meant to expand their horizons and direct their thinking towards an entrepreneurial future in a fun way. JA Company Program

Target Grades 10 - 12 + University

Classroom turns into a real start-up company. Students come up with the idea, divide into management teams, raise capital, write a business plan, sell, liquidate the company then compete for Best Student Company of the Year award.  20% of this program's graduates go on to become actual entrepreneurs in their career lifecycle. Personal Economics

The Personal Economics program is designed to give students a hands-on, practical introduction to personal finance, credit and debt, savings and investments and budgeting. The program aims to encourage students to appreciate their current and future role in society and the economy as consumers, employees, employers, investors and borrowers. 

JA More Than Money

JA Banks in Action

Main Focus Financial Literacy & Work Readiness

Target Grade 12 - University 

This program sets up a competitive environment for students to learn the fundamentals of the banking industry and apply what they learn using a computer simulation. The banking team with the best strategy and highest profit wins the title of “Bank of Choice.” This is fun for students entering Finance as a major.
